The extravagant evening featured a live DJ and entertainment, signature themed cocktails and gourmet Indian cuisine, bestseller live auction items and fabulous getaways on chance drawings. The magic of Bollywood glamour met the mystique of the circus at Bollywood Nights: Cirque du Bollywood.
CAB Cricket Cup is the biennial unique sporty and chic event to be held at Steinbrenner Field in Tampa. The afternoon includes a friendly match of cricket for adults and kids over the age of 12, activities and games for younger children, silent auction, raffle items, and a performance by The Thad Wiley Band. Lunch includes true British pub fare, specialty cocktails, and high tea. No prior cricket experience necessary. Ladies encouraged to wear white and hats, gentlemen and children to wear all-white sporting attire. Grass-friendly footwear is also recommended.
Bollywood Nights is a glamorous black-tie/ethnic formal event to be held at the Tampa Museum of Art, Saturday, Feb 11th, 2017. This year’s Bollywood Masquerade themed extravaganza will welcome Bollywood Superstar, Vivek Oberoi, feature entertainment by Ravé Mehta’s FLOW- A live piano concert by award-winning composer and pianist Ravé Mehta, infused with yoga-inspired dance and acrobatic performances. There will be gourmet and delectable Indian cuisine by the S3 Catering team, fusion dance music by the one and only DJ Firoz, bestseller live auction items and fabulous getaways on chance drawings.
Family, friends, and supporters of Children Across Borders gathered at Tampa’s Hamburger Mary’s to raise money for the charity by playing the restaurant’s signature Drag Queen Bingo, and having lots of laughs!
Bollywood Nights – Children Across Border’s biennial festive black-tie/ethnic formal event was held at the Tampa Museum of Art, Saturday, Feb 21, 2015. The evening featured a Bollywood theme with Indian food created by a celebrity Indian chef, entertainment by a capella group Penn Masala, fusion music & dancing, specialty cocktails, a live auction and a raffle. A reception was hosted for VIP guests an hour prior to the event to mingle with celebrity guests Vivek Oberoi – Bollywood actor, and Bob Buckhorn – Tampa Mayor.
The Patron Cricket Party was hosted two weeks prior to Bollywood Nights 2015 at the Curtis Hixon Park/Tampa Museum of Art, to thank our Patrons/Sponsors for underwriting the Bollywood Nights fundraising event. Families enjoyed an afternoon of spectacular weather, English pub food, and high tea. Men, women and children were encouraged to wear sporting white clothing and enjoyed playing a game of cricket as well. Guests were also treated to a fashion show of beautiful Indian designer clothing for men, women & children by a local designer.
Adults and children participated in a 5K Run/Walk and a 1 Mile Fun-Run at the Cotanchobee Park, Tampa, FL, Saturday, October 25, 2014, to raise money for programs sponsored by Children Across Borders. The 5K started at 8am and the Fun-Run at 9am. Trophy’s and ribbons were distributed to participants based on the standard age groups. Food, music, massage chairs and a free drawing was available to all participants.
